Try Various South Indian Dishes Under One Roof at Dakshin Culture Curry

Dakshin Culture Curry is a relatively new delivery – only concept located in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). They give importance to the cuisine from the various states of South India and hence the name ‘dakshin’ meaning ‘south’. The menu boasts of various south-Indian delicacies at reasonable rates.

A few days back, I tried this outlet having placed my order through Zomato. Delivery was quick and prompt and Zomato even gifted a sanitizer, very much needed these days 🙂

For starters, I had Andhra Prawns (Royalu Vepudu). Flavours were great and the prawns were cooked well.

Mains were Chicken Biryani and Manglorean Chicken Sukke with Pao. Chicken Sukke is supposed to be a dry dish but this had a lot of gravy as you can see in the pictures. So that kind of affected the overall taste of the dish. The Chicken Biryani topped with fried onions was good and portion size was great. It came with a curd salad and a spicy chilli side.

I also tried the Kerala Porotta but sadly, that could have been a lot better.

Overall, a nice place to try food from various places in the southern part of India, all under one roof. They have vegetarian options too.
