Biriyani Time at Curry Chatti

Curry Chatti is a typical Keralite eatery serving authentic Thalassery biriyani and other Malabar dishes and also many Chinese dishes with an Indian touch. They have two outlets in Dubai – Karama and Qusais. Both outlets are not very big as most of their customers vouch for take-aways or deliveries, but they do have a steady influx of regular diners during lunch and dinner times and the restaurant tends to be very busy. Read my review of the Karama outlet here.

The Qusais outlet has a seating area upstairs but I opted for takeaway. I ordered a Chicken Biriyani, a Fish Biriyani and Beef Fry. The biriyanis come with raita, papad, chammanthi, pickle and a payasam. The portion size is good and the packaging is decent.

The fish used was King Fish and it was a huge chunk. Both biriyanis were prepared well and the meat was properly marinated. It was tasty and delish. They also have 1kg biriyani buckets. Sounds awesome, will have to get those soon.

The beef fry was spicy and delish though I feel they could have been slightly more tender.
