Little did I know that Tibbs Frankie is a popular outlet in Mumbai prior to my visit to its Dubai branch in JLT. Run by a very dedicated Harleen, the Mumbai street food is much in demand here as are their frankies. Majority of their orders are takeaway, deliveries or catering orders for various functions. I was told that weekends tend to get busy with diners too.
My visit was on a weekday during lunch time with my kiddo and we got to try some of the their best-selling frankies and Mumbai street food. My favourite was the Quick Bite Vada Pav. I’m not too fond of the usual huge vada pav but this was just perfect. Just big enough for a bite but loaded with flavor, it was like a party in my mouth. Another big hit amongst us was the Chicken Tikka Sandwich, well balanced in terms of flavor, juiciness, and spiciness. My kiddo loved it too.
Recently, I had heard of a drink called Float which is coca-cola with ice cream. I got to try that here for the first time and if you haven’t, then you should give it a try.
Amongst the frankies, I tried a Veg. Masala Frankie, a Bhuna Gosht (Mutton) Frankie and my lil one had a Classic Egg Frankie. The portion sizes are huge and definitely filling. The winner for me was the Veg. one as it was spicy yet balanced.
