Dine the Vegetarian Way at Kailash Parbat, Al Seef

Al Seef, located near Dubai Creek, is a must visit place to soak in Dubai’s heritage. The are many restaurants here with beautiful views of the creek be it during the day or night. Kailash Parbat was started in the 1950’s and is one of the most iconic brands in India serving vegetarian food.

The interior here exudes oomph and luxury and is totally instaworthy. The restaurant is two floored with both outdoor and indoor seating areas on both the floors. There is also a play area for kids at the entrance. The most intriguing factor about Kailash Parbat is that they are a fully licensed vegetarian restaurant. How cool is that!!! There’s live music too upstairs.

My visit was on a Thursday evening with my family for dinner and it was jam-packed. No table was left empty for more than 10 minutes!!

Luckily, we found our spot and ordered starters and drinks. Minty Lemon was just ok while Blush on Ice was really refreshing and flavourful. The Chaat Platter was delicious too with different types of chaat. I really loved the dahi papdi chaat.

Then we tried a few dishes from their Light Bites and Appetizer Menu. Tandoori Momos was spicy yet in a good way. Bang Bang Cauliflower looked appetizing but was too sour for my liking. My favourite was Chow Chow Paneer. A bit on the spicy side but delectable.

For mains, we chose to have Paneer Lababdar with various types of Indian Bread. The paneer dish was luscious and is worth trying.

Dessert was Sizzling Brownie with extra chocolate sauce on the side. The presentation was tempting but the brownie itself was a bit dry.

The place was always full and may be due to that service was a bit slow but what I found most annoying was the attitude of some of the staff. Not something that I expected from such an iconic brand. There is scope for improvement and loved the ambience and food, hence giving them a 4 stars.
