Though Dubai has now re-opened completely, and restaurants are swarming with customers, I still prefer to dine in the comfort of my home even though I order from out regularly. Last week, we tried Tandoori Junction, a casual dining restaurant in JLT serving North Indian cuisine, at home.
Let me start with what I loved. The Chicken Tikka starter with spicy green chutney was the best. The tikka pieces were juicy and cooked well.
I also liked the Chicken Tikka Masala which was part of the main course. The curry was tangy with a hint of spice and flavourful.
Also, part of the main course was Dal Makhani and Butter and Garlic Naans. The naans were too hard and Dal Makhani, though creamy was not as delectable as it’s supposed to be.
Chicken Biryani looked tempting but wasn’t the best. The taste of certain garam masala was over-powering, rice was quite dry; overall, just an average biryani.
The portion sizes of all the dishes were good though taste-wise there is scope for improvement.
