Mandarin Oak is a delivery-only outlet with multiple branches in Dubai, focusing on Chinese and Thai cuisines. I tried them out last week and home delivery was on time and everything was packed well. The menu is concise but there are lots of veg. and non-veg. dishes to choose from.

From the Mandarin Box I tried Hakka Noodles with Burnt Garlic Prawns. This came with a Kimchi salad, sauce, and a traditional Chinese Fried Sesame Ball. The Kimchi salad was one of the best I’ve tried till date and the burnt garlic prawns was juicy and flavourful. Loved the fried sesame ball that was filled with sweet red bean paste too. The portion size is perfect was one person and is a complete meal in itself. It costs AED 35/-.

I also tried Wok tossed Chilli Basil Noodles and Chicken Kung Pao Sauce. Though it’s called sauce, it’s basically a curry. The chicken was soft and juicy, and the gravy was very delicious. It was a good combination with the noodles.
