Lebanese food is one of my favourite cuisines. Love the grills, the hummus, and the abundance of greens in various forms. So, when I got a chance to try this Lebanese restaurant in the midst of the stay at home days, I did not hesitate, not just because I love this kind of food but also because of the good hygienic practices employed.
Kteer Tayyeb Lebanese Resto is in Cluster C in Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT). The food was packed neatly in brown paper bags, sealed, and delivered on time.
The Fattoush was fresh and the accompanying Pomegranate Molasses dressing was a killer!! My all-time fav, Hummus, was simply wow!! I could have it just on its own!! Kibbeh, a classic Levantine dish, made of minced meat and with a typical shape, was appetizing. The crispy shell and the soft filling are a match made in heaven.
The Mixed Shawarma Platter had a mix of chicken and beef shawarmas with pickles, and fresh tomatoes. Shawarma is a deciding factor for whether a restaurant is worth visiting again or not and this absolutely made the cut. It was juicy and flavourful and presented beautifully too.
Another dish that I loved was the Tawook Platter, marinated grilled chicken served with coleslaw, and pickles. The chicken was tender and juicy and loved the combination with hummus and garlic paste.
I also tried a Chicken Avocado Sandwich which as expected was tender. The fries, garlic paste and tahina provided were great too.
No meal is ever complete without sweets. I was sent a Choco Banana Crepe topped with chocolate, banana and strawberries. How can one go wrong with that!! Next time, I’ll be trying some authentic Lebanese desserts next time.
Overall, it was a hearty meal loved by my family and me.
