Second Cup in Cluster Y, JLT is one of many of its branches in U.A.E. It was my first visit to this particular outlet, but I’ve visited the MOE branch many times. My prior visits were usually for their beverages and cakes, but because this time I visited the JLT branch in the morning, I thought I’d give their breakfast menu a try. I was told that there isn’t a set breakfast menu as they keep changing it frequently. But it’s an all-day Breakfast Menu.
I ordered a 3 Filling Omelette with onions, tomatoes and mushrooms and my partner opted for Eggs and Mushrooms. These came with half a slice of bread each and butter. The portion size is ok, but I just feel that it was quiet basic for a well-known café like them. It just something that any of us could whip up at home in less than 3 min. It’s definitely not something that we would try again here.
I also ordered a Seconds Belt sandwich for my kiddo…his choice…. but he ended up eating only the filling as the baguette was too hard.
We also ordered an Americano and a Hot Chocolate. Thankfully the drinks were good. The Hot Chocolate was very creamy and delicious.
How could we leave Second Cup without trying their cakes?! We had a Raspberry White Chocolate Cheese Brulee and a Brownie Bite. Both were yummylicious and definitely a must-try. If you have to choose, then definitely try the Brownie Bite. Priced at AED 1 (yup…you heard me!!!) these are little pieces of joy!!! Thanks to the wonderful ending they get *** stars from me.
